We wanted to find a restaurant where the locals go and we found it. You'll need a car to get here, but it's worth a drive. Situated along a quiet road with a fantastic view over the mountains and the lake. We enjoyed our meal here. The service was good and our waiter was attentive. I had the beef stroganoff which was totally different than I expected. My first thought cutting into the meat thst it was a bit rare, but after tasting it I?have to say that it was soft and tender. Really good quality.meat.

Great place to refuel after a long walk looking for the chapel. Wished the coffee and hot chocolate were hot enough. But the service was excellent

Seeking authentic Swiss cuisine away from the busy tourist areas of Lucerne’s Altstadt, we were delighted with our visit. The T-bone steak, spicy chicken stroganoff, and lemon fish were all cooked to perfection. The 1386 series beer and the rich, creamy chocolate ice cream provided the perfect finishing touches to our meal. Wirtschaft Zur Schlacht is a hidden gem where the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality from both the waitstaff and the owner create a memorable dining experience that every traveler should seek out. We highly recommend it!

The food was delicious. You can see mountains if you sit outside, but if you hate smokers, it may be better to sit inside. The staff were attentive.

Super friendly service, our waiter Nico from Italy immediately brought water for our dogs and spoke excellent English. Great lunch menus with salad included. I would've given the food 5 stars, but it was all a bit salty...however excellent scalloped potatoes....just a pinch less of the salt

Great option for lunch if you’re visiting the nearby chapel! The waiter was very friendly and helpful in accommodating our vegetarian menu adjustments.

Wirtschaft zur Schlacht is a real historic restaurant on the outskirts of Luzern in a township called Sempach. One of the most renowned wars that occurred there in 1386 speaks volumes about this place. The restaurant is very well maintained and we had our company Christmas Dinner in a hall in this restaurant called Buureschopf. It was a rustical hall with awesome woodwork and very spacious. Service was good, fast, and friendly. The food was excellent and well presented on plates. The owner, Mr.Hecht, is a friendly, kind gentleman who I had the pleasure of personally meeting. We were extremely happy with this restaurant.

Situated by the historic "Schlachtkapelle" (Battlefield Chapel) of Sempach. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff plus tasty food and drinks make it an obvious choice to relax whilst enjoying the lovely local scenery.
